Cal Animage Chat Room

Want to setup your own IRC client so you can chat with club members without having to use the animage website? If so, just follow these simple instructions.

IRC Setup Instructions:

Step 1: Download an IRC Client.

There are many out there, and they all do mostly the same thing. If you use firefox, Chatzilla is an easy to use client that is very simple to install and configure. If you don't use firefox, or don't want to use Chatzilla, mIRC is a very popular IRC client.

Step 2: Connecting to the channel.

After you have finished downloading and installing your client, you're ready to connect to the Cal Animage Alpha IRC channel. Open your chosen client and bring up your chat window. In the window type "/server irc.rizon.net" (without the brackets) and wait to be connected to the rizon server. Once it says that you are connected, type "/join #CAA" (again, without the brackets). This will connect you to the Cal Animage Alpha IRC channel.

Step 3: Have fun!

Now equiped with your own IRC client, you can now chat online with club members without having to rely on the website, so if for whatever reason the site were to go down, the chat room would still be up!
