Library

Welcome to the Cal Animage CD library inventory page. We are here to provide you with the anime that you are so addicted to. However, please note that we do NOT have any anime titles that are commercial/licensed.

The Library is open every Monday when there is a showing.

Library Rules:

The library is open to all Cal Animage Alpha members if they meet the following conditions:

Paid a $5 deposit that will be returned at the end of the semester. Please see below for more about the deposit amounts. Note: You are responsible for asking for your deposit back at the end of each semester. Non-claimed deposits will be placed into the CAA operating fund and considered a non-tax deductible donation to the club (i.e. you will lose your deposit and have to pay again next semester).
Are not on the Library Blacklist.

If you fulfill these three requirements, you are eligible to borrow CDs from the library every time there is a showing.

Deposit Amount:

$5 flat deposit per semester. You can borrow up to 6 CDs per week, from Monday to Monday. (that's around 10-16 episodes of anime, depending on filesizes. Ask Arthur for more details.)

Ordering System:

All CDs are lent out on Monday showings and are due in on the next showing the following week.
For all library needs, contact Arthur Chen during the Monday showings either before the showing, after the showing, or during intermission.
Make sure you have what you want to borrow, your name, and your membership number ready. Arthur will note the request down and bring the CDs next week (similiar to a pre-order system).
Another method for borrowing CDs from the library is to e-mail Arthur directly with your requests. In the subject field, type CAA Library. In the email, write down your name, membership number, and what you want to borrow. This method enables Arthur to prepare the CDs beforehand to give it to you on Monday showings.

Lost and Found:

If you lose or damage a CD, please inform Arthur either through email or in person on Monday showings or Thursday game nights. There is no charge for a lost CD. Late returns are permissible until after the 2nd week; after that, each week is $1 off your initial $5 deposit.

However, if you lose the case we lent you the CDs in, $1 will be deducted from your initial $5 deposit.
